A common occurrence in some RPGs is a player who gets tired of playing a character, or doesn't think they're doing the character justice, but who continues playing the character simply because they think someone should be doing it.
In these cases, that player is usually willing to let someone else pick up that character, despite the fact that they're still playing them. This is known as putting a character up for adoption.
Many players also have leftover character journals that they no longer use, which they'd be willing to hand over to other players wanting to play said character. This is putting a journal up for adoption.
If you would like to claim an adoptable journal, simply contact the journal owner for the password. If you would like to claim an adoptable character, simply submit a normal application post for it same as everyone else.
If you would like to put a character or a journal up for adoption, reply to this post with the following information. Remember to specify either JOURNAL or CHARACTER in the subject line to specify whether it's a journal or a character that you are putting up for adoption:
